Meet the Parents
This page allows a closer look at each mini Dachshund that we currently have with an in-depth analysis of their personalities. These dogs are the mothers and fathers of the puppies up for adoption!
Sammie
Samantha Darling is our resident sweetie-pie. She loves to play with her fellow dogs, sleep, and, most of all, snuggle. This cuddle-bug will let you hold her for hours without any complaints. Her eyes are full of kindness and love, highlighting her genuine personality. One problem though—she barks when she wants you to put her on the bed!
Claire
Claira Bean (otherwise known as Bingo) is a handful. This pup loves to play, especially with Lily. She enjoys chewing her toys, eating, but, of course, sleeping. She's a great sleeper; Claire immediately settles in for the night if you get into bed. If it's a really good sleep, she'll snore! Be warned, however, don't leave any unattended Barbies around—their hands and feet will be strangely chewed within minutes!
Lily
Lily Bear Bartholomew Card (don't ask—there was a slight disagreement in her name) is absolutely wild. She and Claire get into quite the mischief, but she's pure at heart. Always down for a run, Lily enjoys plenty of time outside to explore. She's restless down to her core because there's always something new to find and eat. No matter how far she wanders, though, she'll always come running home for a chance to cuddle!
Diesel
Diesel Bug spends most of his time outside on the porch with Arlow sleeping. He's incredibly laid-back (perhaps a better word is lazy) and prefers watching rather than playing. Being Sammie's brother, he's always had a soft spot for the sweet pup. Overall, he's the perfect dog to snuggle with on a rainy day. But don't let his chill demeanor fool you because this pup is always down to chew the trash with Claire and Lily!
Arlow
Barlow is a sweet little thing down to play or cuddle—he just wants to be included. He's rather small, considering he was the runt of his litter, but we're not positive that he knows that. He's got a big heart; fiercely loyal and protective over his family (he does tend to tuck tail and run if the intruder gets too close, but don't tell anyone...). Arlow enjoys a good belly rub and a long nap with Diesel. With such a big-dog mentality, it's a little strange that he acts like a huge, dramatic baby!
